A

Air conditioned: If your air-conditioned device is high up the wall, please use the remote control situated in the wall for setting the temperature, if the air conditioning device is in the bottom of the wall, set the speed and the temperature directly on the device. Then its settings are regulated directly from the remote control.
If your air conditioned is within your reach, then settings are operated directly on the device. If you are not certain which device your room has please contact reception.

Babies: we have a limited number of cots and baby bath tubs, courtesy of the hotel (subject to availability)

Babysitting services: we have partnered with a local nursery for babysitting services. Advance booking is required. More information's and prices available at reception.

Bar: Next to the reception, you will find a living room where you can consume some drinks. As, we enjoy having a trust relationship with our customers, you can serve yourselves in our "Honesty Bar". Please check the price list.

Beach Towels: we have beach towels for our guests to use at the cost of 3 € (one-off charge). You can grab these from the reception desk. Please note that any unreturned towels will incur a 20 € charge.

Behavioural issues: we do reserve the right to ask guests to leave if they act violently or inappropriately.

Blankets: contact reception if you need any extra blankets

Board Games: In the living room, next to the reception, some board games are available (cards, chess etc). It's a free using that's why we'll appreciate that you'll leave them as you as found.

Books: we have a number of books across all our rooms. These are for you to enjoy during your stay; please do not take these away so the next guests can have a read too.

Breakfast: breakfast is served on the 2nd Floor daily between 8am and 10am. Exceptionally we can provide breakfast at 7.30 but only when requested on the previous day. Breakfast consists of homemade bread, jams, (all "Tia Odete" the proprietor's brand), cakes, freshly squeezed fruit juices, seasonal fruit and other selections.

Breakfast in your room: this service incurs a charge of €15 per room and you can request it by filling in the breakfast form found in your room and placing it outside the door before 10.30pm.

Business Centre: there is a PC (with internet connection) and printer in the living room which is for the use of guests. We can also provide paper for printing. Please consult price list located by the computer


C

Check in: you can check in from 14h noon and up to 24h pm (when our reception closes)

Check out: check out must be done by 12noon. If you require a later check out you should contact reception to confirm whether that's possible. If you check out later than 12noon without pre-arranging it with reception you might incur the cost of an additional night. Similarly, if you require to check out before 7.00am please let the reception know in advance (we do not have a 24 hrs reception)

Children: all children are welcome; we do ask parents to supervise them so that they don't disturb other guests or cause trouble.

Children's Play Area: there is a "kids place" for children to play with the presence of parents, on level 0.

Clothes' hangers: do let us know if you need additional hangers in your wardrobe

Do not disturb sign: If you do not wish to be disturbed in the morning by our team please leave the green flyer hanging outside the door. If the flyer is still there by 2.00pm we will not be able to service your room until the following morning (you could still ask for fresh towels from reception though). On Saturdays and Sundays rooms are serviced until 1.30pm.

Dress code: we run an informal family hotel. We wish you to be comfortable so please feel free to circulate across the hotel in your swimming costume or even barefoot (just don't turn up naked!)

Electrical voltage: 220v across all our plug points. The hotel does not have an independent generator.

Emergency cord: there is an emergency cord in the bathroom you can pull to get the attention of reception. Please note the cord is for emergencies only. For any other situations do ring reception or drop by our desk

Fire alarm: all rooms are equipped with fire detection devices. The fire alarm goes off in the event of excessive smoke. All emergency exits are properly signposted. In the event of fire, do not use the lift.

First aid: we hold a first aid kit at reception


G

Gardens: there is a small grassed area outside Level 0.

Good neighbourly behaviour: we ask all guests to respect others staying in the hotel: please keep noise across corridors, staircases and rooms (particularly at night) to a minimum.

I

Internet: We have free Wi-Fi for our guests across rooms and communal areas of the hotel. Code is available at reception.

Lamps: we have energy saving light bulbs across our rooms and communal areas. Let us know if any of these lamps stop working

Laundry: the laundry bag and price list can be found inside your wardrobe (or drawer). The bag should be placed outside the door (together with the checked price list). If you require your laundry back on the same day you need to drop of your laundry before 9am. Please note this service isn't available at weekends.

Lost and Found: we will keep any items found after you check out and endeavour to make contact if we can identify the owner.

Luggage: do let us know if you need a hand carrying luggage to or from your room

Malfunctioning: please contact reception in the event of any malfunctioning equipment in your room.

Magnetic key fobs: the magnetic key that opens your room also gives you access to the hotel main door once the reception closes down for the night.

Mass: catholic mass is celebrated every Sunday at 11am at the Monastery. Our local church – Misericórdia Chapel – celebrates mass every Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 8am.

Meals: We do not have a restaurant, but if you don't want to leave the comfort of the hotel or your room, we have some suggestions that can be served near de reception or even in our breakfast room. Check our list at the reception. Service available from 12.30 pm until 2.00 pm and from 7.00 pm until 9.30 pm.

Minibar: The jar with water is complimentary. Please check the price list for all other products. We like to trust our clients, so we thank you write down your consumptions. The hotel reserves the right to charge the consumed products after the check-out, in case we have not been informed of their consumption. The jar with water inside the fridge is complimentary

Newspapers and magazines: These are by reception. If you require a particular title do let us know and we will endeavour to fulfil your request. 

P

Paintings: all paintings in bedrooms, corridors and communal areas have been painted by Odete, the hotel proprietor (it's one of her hobbies).

Parking: we have a number of free parking spaces outside the hotel. There are 3 parking places at the front entrance of the hotel and 8 other places at the back of the hotel, where you can also find our disabled parking space.

Pets: unfortunately, we do not allow pets at this hotel.

Pharmacy: there are two chemists in the village.

Photocopying: please ask reception for prices on photocopying.

Pillows: there are 2 extra pillows inside the closet. Please contact the reception should you require additional pillows.

Plug adaptors and voltage converters: we hold some of these devices in our reception desk and you can borrow them.

Pool table: Our table pool is on level 0. Balls are kept at reception. Please return them once you've finished your game. 

Post: we're happy to drop off any of your mail into the post office. We sell stamps in the reception

Reception: as a small hotel, we don't have the means to have a 24hrs reception. We open at 7.00am and close at 0.00pm. Your room key fob also opens the hotel access doors on Level 0 and Level 3 outside reception hours.

Restaurants: There are various nearby establishments we would recommend. Please contact the reception in case you need information about restaurants.

Room cleaning: our chamber maids starts at 8.30am/9.00 am and ends at 3.00 pm. If you're staying for more than one night and wish your room to be cleaned, please do let us know by hanging the green flyer outside your room door until 14h30. During the weekend room cleaning ends at 1.30 pm. If you wish your room not to be cleaned, please hang the stop flyer outside your room door.

Safe: unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for valuables left in your room. You can use the hotel safe at no cost.

Security and Surveillance System: the hotel has a surveillance system for the communal areas and entrances to the hotel. We follow data protection guidelines.

Shop: we have a small Arts & Crafts shop by the reception. All of the products are handmade and some of them are made by the owner, Odete (jams and other products)

Smokers: we are a smoke free hotel. Smoking is allowed only on balconies or on the grounds of the hotel. Please make sure you are using one of the many ashtrays provided.

Swimming-pool: the swimming pool is accessed through the 2nd Floor, either by lift or staircases, and the pool is open from 9am until 9pm. We ask you not to use the pool outside these hours, so as to not disturb the guests staying near the pool. The pool water is monitored and tested regularly according to the normal rules of the hotel industry. There are a number of stretcher beds and sun parasols that you can use at no cost. If you need beach towels do let us know, these can be provided at a flat-fee of 3€. You can access the changing rooms via the staircase near the swimming pool.
Swimming pool tends to open in May and close in October (weather dependent)

Telephone: to call reception dial 100. To dial another room key in the room number directly. To dial a number outside the hotel key in 0 for access to a line, followed by the number you wish to call. Calls are charged at 0,50 € per time unit.

Timetables for public transport and activities in the area: if you want to find out about these please ask reception and they will be delighted to help you in researching those.

Toiletries: rooms are equipped with soaps, hair shampoo, moisturisers and bath caps.

Additional toiletries: dental kits are available upon request.

Towel changeover: if you leave your towels on the bathroom floor we will replace those with fresh towels. If you hang them up we will leave them in place (and you help save the planet too!)

TV: there are a number of Portuguese and international channels on TV. We can't take responsibility for failure in broadcasting signal or cable data, or for not having access to particular channels.


W

Wake up call: for wake up calls please dial 8271 + hour +minutes. We can also call your room directly if you prefer that.

Wheelchair users: for the majority of the areas of the hotel, access is wheelchair friendly.
