General Policies
RESERVATIONS
All reservations must be guaranteed. A deposit corresponding to 1 or more nights of your stay may be requested for this purpose. This deposit may be paid by bank transfer, Multibanco reference, MBWay or credit card.
If you choose to make an online reservation guaranteed by bank transfer, you will have 48h to do so and send us proof of payment. The hotel will cancel the reservation if this deadline is not met.
For same-day reservations or reservations made 24 hours in advance, payment by bank transfer will not be accepted.
If you choose to make an online reservation guaranteed by credit card, the hotel reserves the right to charge the amount corresponding to the 1st night in advance.
Reservation Changes:
Changes involving the cancellation of rooms will be subject to the cancellation policy of the selected rate. Any changes to the number of guests may result in a change to the room type assigned and an additional charge may apply.
Cancellations:
Cancellation conditions are subject to the selected rate.
Non-Refundable Rates:
No refunds will be issued for amounts paid.
Refundable Rates:
Cancellations are accepted until the deadline specified in the rate, in which case the amount already deposited will be refunded. For any cancellation made after this period, the amount corresponding to the first night will be charged. In the event of a no-show, the full cost of the stay will be charged.

OPENING HOURS
- Reception: open from 7:30am to midnight
- Arrival: check-in from 3:00pm to midnight
- Departure: check-out from 7:30am to 12:00pm
- Breakfast: between 8:00am and 10:30am in the dining room
Please contact us if you need to arrange different check-in, check-out or breakfast times.
Our reception is not open 24 hours a day, although we can be contacted 24 hours a day. After checking in, guests always have 24-hour access to the hotel. If you expect to arrive after midnight, please contact us.
Check-in
Upon check-in, guests must present an identification document for the registration of all guests, including children. A credit card number will also be requested (regardless of the payment method used for the reservation) as a guarantee for any additional charges or possible damage caused during the stay.
Early check-in
We are sorry, but we cannot guarantee this. It may be possible, subject to availability of the room type booked. If you wish to arrive at the hotel before the scheduled check-in time, you should inform us in advance. You may leave your luggage safely at the hotel and return later if we do not have availability.
Early check-out
In the event of an early departure (and without prior notice of 24h), the hotel reserves the right to charge or not refund the cost of the stay. In the case of a non-refundable rate, no refund will be issued.
Check-out after 12:00pm
Always subject to request. Please contact reception at least 24h00 in advance. Subject to availability, an additional charge may apply.
CHILDREN
0-2 years: free stay in a cot, in room types with capacity * (except for voucher bookings, where an additional charge applies)
From 2 years: stay in an extra bed or sofa bed in room types with capacity **
* Room types with capacity for 1 cot:
Standard Room | Top Monastery View Balcony Room | Triple Room with Balcony
** Room types with an Extra Bed:
Double Room with Extra Bed | Triple Room with Balcony
When selecting a Triple Room or Double Room with Extra Bed, the cost of the extra bed is already included. In the Triple Room with Balcony category, it is possible to add a 2nd extra bed for a 2nd child (up to 12 years old) at an additional cost of €30.00.
3rd Person Supplement:
In rooms where a child is added (without an extra bed or cot), a 3rd person supplement of €15.00 / night applies.
Family Rooms:
When booking a Family Room, you are booking 2 standard rooms, connected to each other (double bed + 2 single beds). Maximum capacity for 2 adults + 2 children or 2 adults + 3 children (3rd child in a cot or extra bed, at an additional cost of €30.00).
We also have a Family Room with Monastery View, with capacity for 2 adults + 2 children. This room also consists of 2 x rooms connected by an interconnecting interior door (double bed + 2 single beds).
MINIMUM AGE
To check in at the hotel, guests must be at least 18 years old if not accompanied by an adult.
MINIBAR AND HONESTY BAR CHARGES
Bar and minibar charges incurred during your stay and not reported to reception will be charged by the hotel to your credit card.
HOTEL PARKING
The hotel has 2 private outdoor car parks: one is located next to the main entrance / reception (with 4 spaces) and the other is located at the rear entrance of the hotel (with 8 spaces). The car parks are not monitored, so the hotel is not responsible for any damage caused by third parties, theft or break-ins that may occur to vehicles. However, we would like to inform you that no such incidents have ever occurred.
There is also free public parking next to the hotel, where you can park your vehicle.
SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited throughout the hotel, especially inside the rooms. In rooms with a balcony, smoking is permitted on the balcony, using the ashtray provided, which must always remain outside. The balcony door must remain closed while smoking.
The hotel reserves the right to charge an additional fee of €300 if this rule is not followed and the room interior has a tobacco odour or other damage has been caused.
There are designated smoking areas outside the hotel. Please contact reception for further details.
PETS
Pets are not allowed inside the hotel, except for guide dogs.
OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL
Opening Date:
As this is an unheated outdoor swimming pool, its use is seasonal. Depending on temperatures, it may be open from May to September.
Opening hours: 9:00am – 8:00pm
Access: Free, no booking required.
Rules:
- Flip-flops must be worn to access the surrounding area.
- Please shower before entering the pool.
- Children up to 16 years of age should only use the pool under adult supervision.
- Babies must wear suitable swimming nappies.
- Do not use the pool if you have any type of skin condition.
- The hotel is not responsible for any belongings left in this area.
- Glass cups or drinks are prohibited. Please contact reception.
- Do not change the arrangement of the furniture.
- Please respect other guests so as not to disturb the peace and quiet.
- Sound devices (mobile phones or speakers) must be used individually (with headphones) so as not to disturb other guests.
- Smoking is not permitted in the outdoor pool area, except in the designated area (please contact reception).
- Diving or water sports that disturb other guests are prohibited, as are inflatable pool accessories.
- The pool is for the exclusive use of hotel guests, so any visitors must be authorised by the hotel in advance. A usage fee of €8.00/person may apply to visitors from outside the hotel.
- As no booking is required to use the pool, we ask all guests to be responsible and considerate by limiting the length of their stay in the pool, especially on days when demand and occupancy are high.
INDOOR SWIMMING POOL
Opening hours: Open all year round from 9:00am – 8:00pm
Access: Free, with advance booking at check-in. 1 booking per night is possible (subject to availability). Pre-defined time slots lasting 1h. Swimming cap and flip-flops must be worn.
Rules:
- Please respect the time slot you have pre-booked to use this area
- You should inform us in advance if you are unable to use the area at the scheduled time, so that other guests can use it or so that you can make a booking at another time that is more convenient for you
- Flip-flops, swimming cap and swimming costume must be worn
- Do not use the pool if you have any type of respiratory, mucous membrane or skin condition (with or without a dressing)
- All children up to 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
- Adornments, equipment and food are prohibited in the pool area
- Glass cups or drinks are prohibited. Please contact reception
- The hotel is not responsible for any belongings left in this area
- Do not change the arrangement of the furniture
- Please respect other guests so as not to disturb the peace and quiet
- Diving or water sports that disturb other guests are prohibited, as are inflatable pool accessories
- Sound devices (mobile phones or speakers) must be used individually (with headphones) so as not to disturb other guests
- Smoking is not permitted in the indoor pool area
- People from outside the hotel are subject to a usage fee of €8.00 per person/booking
POOL EQUIPMENT
Free towels. These should be requested at reception, where they will be provided and returned.
In the event of non-return or damage, a charge of €15 per item will apply.
Bathrobe: These should be requested at reception, where they will be provided and returned. Rental fee €5.00 / each. In the event of non-return or damage, an additional charge of €15.00 will apply.
Adult and children’s sizes are available.
Flip-flops & Swimming Caps: These should be requested at reception. €3.00 / each
DAMAGE CAUSED OR MISSING ITEMS
The hotel reserves the right to charge guests after check-out for any damage/theft deliberately caused by the guest.
